Project Much?

What is projection? Projection is the process of displacing one's feelings onto someone else. People can sometimes have feelings of dislike toward another person, not realizing they are mirroring some of these unlikeable qualities. Do you ever find yourself having negative feelings about someone you know? Sometimes we can develop a distaste for someone, but we don't know what it is about them or why we feel this way, especially if they didn't do or say anything to upset or hurt us. There was a point in your life where you felt, behaved, or encountered someone who expressed these same qualities you disliked. It can happen from having old unhealed feelings we unintentionally hold onto. It also explains why we feel so uncomfortable being around them. We don't like their vibe. We sense their energy, and we want nothing to do with it. So these people can be reminders of the unhealed parts of ourselves we struggle with daily. This idea isn't apparent to narrow-minded and self-absorbed people, let alone those struggling with an addiction. People with addiction already feel jaded by many other things happening in their life, tunnel vision.

When we find life burdensome, people will be placed on our path that will continue to remind us that we still aren't healed. We would feel offended and defensive if someone we knew this would tell us, especially when we aren't ready to hear it. So people who suffer from an addiction are constantly bombarded by their negative feelings about themselves, which is why it can feel so hard to be around anyone. Projection is rejection. I never told my family, but it would physically hurt me to be around them. I didn't know why until I started healing. Everyone on earth has their own stories; my family was no different. I could feel each of their pain. I didn't know it at the time, but that is what I was feeling. I learned later I was an empath. An empath is a highly sensitive person who feels another person's energy (feelings). I suffered in my life, and this ability made me feel even worse. Why? I felt the sadness, anger, and despair of everyone I encountered, from old trapped energy (feelings) they were holding onto. We were a poor immigrant family, and so we grew up in neighborhoods where the people were poor and suffering from crime and poverty. So, I think people who suffer from an addiction can be highly sensitive.
How long do you want to wrestle with feelings you don't understand? How much more do you think you take living in suffering? If we continue on the road to destruction, our lives will continue to be revolving doors with no end until our bodies wear out. We will be one step closer to nowhere. When I was still on the spiral of madness, I felt trapped. There were times I hated going out unless I had access to alcohol. I remember looking forward to going home when I knew I had a bottle waiting for me. I would get excited over the anticipation, so I had a big problem. So when I finally stopped, I realized I had to release old ghosts (energy). Are you ready to step out of the shadows of pain and suffering? I've spent decades of my life blaming others for my mistakes, but when I started to face my shadows, I could let go and move forward. It is time to take a hard look to see who you are on this journey. No one but you has the power to change your life. It takes courage and willingness to lift ourselves when we've spent so much time being pushed down by the weight of our struggles. Let me help you find who you are; it will free you.
